Seawater is a granite built holiday cottage situated in beautiful St Ives, Cornwall. The cottage sleeps 6 persons in 3 bedrooms.

Seawater has been awarded a 5 star rating by the official tourist board Visit Britain and is recommended and inspected by the St Ives Hotel Association.

Having been extensively renovated recently, Seawater boasts some impressive comtemporary touches yet still retains many of the original features. A rarity to St Ives, there is an enclosed mediterranean courtyard garden to the rear, with decking, comfy seating and outdoor lighting.

The result of the renovations is a light and airy cottage that is still very cosy and invitingly homely. With central heating, old school radiators and a feature log burning gas stove in the living room, the cottage is equally suitable for winter bookings as it is for the summer.

Seawater is extensively and tastefully equipped with new furnishings and equipment. Entertainment wise, there is a hi-fi with CD player, widescreen TV with digital channels and DVD player, along with a selection of DVDs & CDs for guests to enjoy.

Living Room
The front stable door opens into the open plan living room with original stripped wooden floor. The front of this spacious room is arranged around the feature fireplace, whilst the rear becomes an area for reading or playing.

Features in this room include 2 comfy sofas and pouf, digital widescreen TV, DVD player and CD hi-fi.

Kitchen/Dining Room
With a beamed ceiling and limestone tiled floor, the large kitchen/diner has a light and airy feel about it. The Shaker style kitchen has wooden beach block surfaces and has a multitude of stainless steel appliances, including a 6 ring range cooker, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave and a large American style Smeg fridge/freezer.

With and oak table that comfortably sleeps 6, a CD hi-fi and a small TV, this room is the real hub of the house.

Courtyard Garden
The rear stable door leads out from the kitchen/diner to the enclosed decked courtyard garden with established palm trees and bamboo.

With plenty of comfy seating and subtle lighting, this makes for an ideal area to relax on summer evenings.

Due to it being completely enclosed the courtyard is also a safe area for children.

Bedroom 1
King size double bed & plenty of storage (space for cot, although not provided).

Bedroom 2

Bedroom 3
Smaller bedroom with bunk beds, drawers and under bed storage.

It is ok to offload your car outside the front door, but suggested car parking is either up the hill at Bamoon, or nearby at the car park on Park Avenue. Both are council car parks from which you can purchase weekly tickets.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
St Ives is unique in offering such a picturesque fishing harbour along with some of the best beaches Cornwall has to offer.

The beauty of St Ives is that everything is within a short stroll away. The variety of shops and the quality of restaurants is continally improving, yet it is still possible to lose yourself within the maze of narrow cobbled streets.

The Tate Gallery and the generally warmer climate of the South-West has contributed to more & more people discovering the beauty of St Ives during the recent winter years.
