The garden terraces and two sun decks provide panoramic views out across the bay to the Atlantic. The garden provides you with secluded areas to sunbathe, have a barbecue, or just enjoy a glass of wine on a warm summer’s evening as you watch the sun sink below the horizon.

Ideally situated in the pretty village of Portreath and a short walk to a sandy beach, Boys' Cottage is a lovingly restored two-bedroomed stone cottage. With stunning views out to sea from the garden sun decks, the cottage is available throughout the year.

The cottage, which sleeps 4 people, has two bedrooms - one double and a twin bedded room. The large front double bedroom has a king-sized bed and a traditional window seat with views down to the harbour. There are built-in wardrobes.

The smaller bedroom at the rear of the house has two single beds, a small chest of drawers and a built-in wardrobe. There are views up to the garden terraces.

There is a cot and a high chair at the property.

There are two sun decks at the top of the garden, with six pine chairs, a large wooden dining-table and
two sun loungers.

The kitchen has been completely modernised to provide dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave and fridge. The kitchen leads to the dining area and a door to the suntrap courtyard with table and chairs. There is a barbecue available.

The bathroom has been completely modernised .

The sitting room, which looks on to the front garden, is comfortably furnished with a sofa and two easy chairs. There is a TV and DVD player

The property is fully double-glazed and there are electric storage heaters throughout the house.

DIRECTIONS
M4/M5 or A303/A30 to Exeter, then
A38 or A30 to Redruth.
Take the B3300 to Portreath via Bridge Village, passing the Cornish Gold Centre on your left-hand side.
In Portreath village, follow the sharp bend round by the shops – you will see a restaurant on your left, , across a small bridge. Turn in under the old arch by the restaurant into Glenfeadon Terrace. Boys' Cottage, number 3, is 100 yards up on the right. Park outside.

If you are flying to the South West, Newquay Cornwall International is our closest airport, just 40 minutes’ drive from the cottage. Car hire is recommended.

Rynair flies direct from London Stansted twice a day, Air Southwest flies direct from London Gatwick four times a day.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS
The village of Portreath, situated on Cornwall’s north-west coast, is one of the most spectacular beauty spots in the county. The village nestles in a valley between high cliffs and has a secluded, sandy beach which is ideal for the family.

Although Portreath is uncommercialised, the local amenities provide for all holiday and touring needs. Within the village, there are three public houses, a general store and post office, a bakers and a selection of restaurants and cafes.

For the holidaymaker who prefers to keep to the local area, there are many facilities to enjoy, including swimming and surfing, fishing and walks though unsurpassed scenery along the National Trust Coastal Path. Immediately inland is the Tehidy Country Park with adjoining golf course, an area of beautiful woodland, lakeside walks and picnic areas.

To explore further afield, the following are within easy reach by car :

* Eden Project – Cornwall’s premier attraction is approximately 40 minutes’ drive from the cottage.
* Padstow – (25 miles) – Beautiful harbour – Rick Stein restaurants.
* St.Ives (12 miles) – Picturesque harbour, quaint streets, fishing and boat trips. Renowned as an artists’ paradise. Tate Gallery.
* Land’s End – (30 miles) – Spectacular views. Also in the area – Cape Cornwall at St.Just, Sennen Cove.
* Minack Theatre – (25 miles) – Amazing open-air theatre built into the rocks. Operates in the summer season only, but the exhibition centre is open all year.
* National Maritime Museum – Falmouth (14 miles)
* Falmouth – Harbour, beaches and boat trips up the River Fal.
* Helston (13 miles) – Flambards
* Penzance (20 miles) – A busy harbour of great historical interest. Nearby is Newlyn, Mousehole and St Michael’s Mount.
* Truro (8 miles) – County city with its beautiful cathedral and fine shopping centre.
