Our great location allows you to enjoy a stroll on the beach or a walk around the village before breakfast. Then you’ll have to pry yourself away from the magnificent views because there are so many sights to see and hidden beaches and coves to explore! About Porthleven
Porthleven is the most Southerly port in Britain. It is still a working village where fishing boats are constantly moving through the harbour, the heart of this picturesque, serene village. Many artists have been inspired by the unique scenery and way of life in Cornwall. A selection of their best work can be seen in the various craft shops and art galleries in Porthleven.
The majestic sights and charming atmosphere play host to such a wide selection of interesting places to visit and things to do that people of all ages are able to relax and enjoy themselves. There is a remarkable selection of restaurants in Porthleven. With many places specialising in locally caught fresh seafood. There are also several pubs, a variety of shops and even a supermarket to make life more convenient for you.

Loe Pool, Cornwall’s largest natural lake, is cut off from the sea by an amazing shingle bank known as The Loe Bar. The combination of the woods, the lake and the bar and the sea provide an inspirational and refreshing experience.

DIRECTIONS
Train: Penzance station is 15km away. Then catch a bus or take a taxi to Porthleven (near Helston.)
Airplane: Newquay, our nearest airport, is 55km away. Then catch a bus or take a taxi to Porthleven (near Helston.)
Automobile: Take the A30 down to Cornwall. Follow signs to Redruth. There will be three exits all rather close to each other. The first exit is to Redruth and Helston (ignore this), the second is to Camborne and Pool, and the third exit is to Camborne (West). Any of these three exits will take you to Helston, but we suggest you take the third exit Camborne (West.) You are now only 20 to 30 minutes away from your holiday destination!
From the exit follow signs posted to Helston. You will come to a mini roundabout (next to club Euphoria) straight will take you into the town centre but we suggest you turn right and follow the road straight until you get to another mini roundabout with the police station in front of you. Turn right, as sign posted, towards Helston. Follow signs posted to Helston through 3 villages (about 20 km.)
When you reach a T-junction with a petrol station on your right and a sign showing Helston to the left, turn left down the hill. After the road levels off in Helston, there is a small double roundabout. Turn right at the first roundabout (the sign for Porthleven may be hard to read) and you will see a beautiful boating lake on your right. Continue up a hill, down a hill and through the trees with the road bending to the left.
At the next bend (back to the right) there is a turning to your left. Turn left and follow the road straight for about 3 km until you reach the T-junction above the beach and the sea is glimmering in front of you! Turn left (virtually doubling back on yourself) onto Loe Bar Road and the apartments are 300 yards on your left. Safe travels, we’ll see you soon.

Things to Do Nearby
• Flambards Theme Park in Helston is a lovely day out for people of all ages. Walk through the beautiful Victorian Village, slide down the Demon Drop, get soaked on the Log Flume, play crazy golf, and make sure you make time to walk through the amazing recreation of Britain in the Blitz.
• The Grange Strawberry Farm (near Helston) 4 miles – light lunches and teas served all day. Remember to buy or pick your own lovely basket of juicy strawberries.
• Halzephron Inn (near Helston) 8 miles – often the Henpeckers Guide pub of the year. With its passage under the cliff to the sea reportedly used for smuggling, the Halzephron Inn is a delightful place to visit for lunch or dinner.
• Helston 2 ½ miles – home of the world famous Flora Dance and Blue Anchor pub where they brew their own real ale? Next door. Try one pint of Spingo, two if you dare, but make sure you’re not the one driving back to Porthleven.
• Be amused by the animals at the Seal Sanctuary in Gweek 5 miles.
• Poldark Mine 5 miles – tour an ex working tin mine and see what life used to be like for some people.
• 18 hole golf courses – short and long.
