Ferries in Cornwall

There are a number of ferries in Cornwall which all provide services to passengers on foot, and some also take vehicles. Some operate all the year round on a timetable that varies with the seasons and some are services that do not operate during the winter months. Bikes can generally be carried on all ferries.

KING HARRY FERRY

The King Harry Ferry operates between Feock near Truro and Philleigh on The Roseland.
The all-year round service can take up to 28 cars per trip and attracts commuters and tourists to the beautiful wooded riverbanks. You can use the King Harry Ferry and enjoy a tranquil interlude whilst taking a scenic journey from the Roseland to the Cathedral City of Truro, or to the town and beaches of Falmouth. Using the ferry also has the added benefit of reducing your journey to and from the Roseland by up to 25-30 miles on a round trip, all while you enjoy the unspoilt beauty at King Harry Passage. In addition you may use your ferry ticket to gain discounted entry to the wonderful Trebah Garden and discounted use of the Falmouth Park and Float or St Mawes Ferries between Falmouth and St Mawes. The ferry is one of only five remaining chain ferries operating in England. The present ferry (No. VI) was built in Penryn in 1974.

The crossing takes approximately 35 minutes. All sailings are subject to sea conditions. The operators aim to provide alternative return transport if an afternoon sailing does not run. Cancellations are broadcast on BBC Radio Cornwall. Tickets are sold on board and dogs and cycles are welcome
