ANTONY HOUSE AND GARDEN

Overlooking the Lynher River, the grounds, landscaped by Repton, include formal courtyard, terraces, ornamental Japanese pond, fine summer borders, sculptures and a knot garden. They house the national collection of Hemerocallis (610 cultivars).

ANTONY WOODLAND GARDEN

One hundred acres of woodland gardens and natural woodland bordering the Lynher Estuary, featuring extensive woodland riverside walks. National collection of Camellia, japonica, and numerous wild flowers and birds.

October: The autumnal hues of the woodland are stunning at this time of year.

Open: March 1-October 31 (except Mondays and Fridays), but open bank holidays, 11am-5pm.

COTEHELE

A large mature garden with some steep paths, a daffodil meadow, unusual trees, small acers and a formal terraced garden with magnolias and climbers. Also a sheltered valley, pond, dovecote, 18th century tower, unusual shrubs, rhododendrons and azaleas, plus woodland walks to Calstock and Cotehele Mill.

Open Good Fri. Shop & Restaurant: Nov & Dec Christmas opening, tel. for details. Edgcumbe Arms closes at dusk if earlier than 5. Light refreshments available 11 Feb-17 Mar, 11-4, and on Fridays from 17 Mar-27 Oct, 11-5 (4:30 Oct). Last admission 30mins before closing.

MOUNT EDGCUMBE HOUSE, NR TORPOINT

This former Tudor home of the Earls of Mount Edgcumbe is set in the 18th century Earl’s garden, amid grade 1 landscape, overlooking Plymouth Sound. Features include classical garden houses, statues and an exotic Shell Seat. French and Italian gardens form part of ten-acre formal gardens.

House and the Earl's Garden is open to the General Public :

Please note that we are closed on Friday and Saturdays.
