A gateway into the fascinating world of plants and people. The world’s largest greenhouses nestle in a crater the size of 30 football pitches, the centrepiece of a spectacular global garden.

We're open every day of the year with the exception of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

From October 30 to March 26 the gates open at 10am and close at 4.30pm with the last entry at 3pm. From March 27 to October 29 the gates open at 9am, the site at 9.15am and we close at 6pm with the last entry at 4.30pm.

PINE LODGE, ST AUSTELL

A 30-acre garden with shrubs, herbaceous borders, many water features, pinetum, arboretum, lake with black swans and ducks and Japanese garden. Rare plants from seed, and hunting expeditions - every plant is labelled.

TREGREHAN, NR ST AUSTELL

A woodland garden created from the early 19th century, concentrating on genera from warm temperate regions. It is an important green gene bank of known source plants. Fine 1846 glasshouse range in more formal walled garden.

Garden Open: mid March - end May: Wednesday to Sunday ( including Bank Holiday Mondays) 10:30 - 5 pm
June - end August: Wednesdays 2 pm - 5 pm

BOCONNOC

The essence of late 18th century, picturesque English landscape. Thomas Pitt’s house, gardens, church and park are the setting in which magnificent trees provide the backcloth for shrubs, woodland plants and a fine collection of hydrangeas.

CAERHAYS CASTLE AND GARDENS

An informal woodland garden created by J C Williams, who sponsored plant-hunting expeditions to China at the turn of the 19th century. Noted for camellias, magnolias, rhododendrons and oaks. Holders of the NCCPG national magnolia collection.

LOST GARDENS OF HELIGAN

Two hundred acres for exploration, including Victorian productive gardens, pleasure grounds, a sub-tropical ‘jungle’, walks through ancient woods and across farmland, and an intimate view of wildlife resident on the estate.

Heligan is ‘dog-friendly’ between October and February only.
