A gateway into the fascinating world of plants and people. The world’s largest greenhouses nestle in a crater the size of 30 football pitches, the centrepiece of a spectacular global garden.
We're open every day of the year with the exception of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
From October 30 to March 26 the gates open at 10am and close at 4.30pm with the last entry at 3pm. From March 27 to October 29 the gates open at 9am, the site at 9.15am and we close at 6pm with the last entry at 4.30pm.

A woodland garden created from the early 19th century, concentrating on genera from warm temperate regions. It is an important green gene bank of known source plants. Fine 1846 glasshouse range in more formal walled garden.
