May 13-July17: Alively show mounted as part of the South West Tourist Board’s commemorations of the achievements of Isambard Kingdom Brunel (1806-1859). Rare Cornish prints, photographs and paintings, together with contemporary automata, papier mâché and puppets, make this a heritage exhibition with a difference.
Running concurrently with the Brunel exhibition is a show celebrating the 60th birthday of local artist Diane Ibbotson. The work of this outstanding artist is much admired. Her view of Falmouth was voted the most popular painting in a recent exhibition.
Falmouth Art Gallery town centre exhibition space with a fine permanent collection, including work by Frank Brangwyn , Sir Edward Coley Burne-Jones, Charles Napier Hemy, Dame Laura Knight, Sir Alfred Munnings, William Strang, Henry Scott Tuke, John William Waterhouse and George Frederick Watts.

Until June 21: The 14th annual show for Ruchard Tuff. A View Around Every Corner has an unusual twist, with the inclusion of sonme inland scenes set around Redruth, Helston and Penryn.
Opened in 1989, Beside the Wave offers a showcase for a number of contemporary artists, notably the likes of John Dyer and Richard Tuff. It offers a constantly changing selection of work, with up to 14 exhibitions each year.
