Cornwall’s internationally famous open-air theatre built into the cliffs at Porthcurno in west Cornwall was created by one remarkable woman, Rowena Cade. Visitors can discover how she came to Cornwall after a Victorian childhood in Cheltenham, and see how a local play in 1929 led her to build the Minack Theatre.
It is a unique place to visit at any time of the year, but live performances take on a very special atmosphere against the dramatic backdrop. The summer season of performances runs from May until September.
