This is a 500-600-year-old inn (with its own ghost!), part of which doubled as a courthouse where Judge Jefferies presided. Sir Walter Raleigh is reputed to have smoked his first pipe of tobacco on home soil when he landed here.
The passenger ferry Scillonian III sails to the Isles of Scilly from the quay opposite.
The Dolphin offers a wide range of meals to suit all the family, complemented by St Austell ales and wines.

Since the spring of 2003, The Old Inn has been progressively refurbished. This includes the three bedrooms, all of which have sea views overlooking St. Michael's Mount. The separate lounge bar has also been upgraded.

The Logan Rock is more than 400 years old, granite-built with a patio and paved back garden, situated in the hamlet of Treen near Porthcurno. The pub is famous for the legend that, in 1824, Lt Goldsmith dislodged the Logan Rock. Bills of the cost of the replacement and pictures can be seen at the inn. In the snug there is a wonderful collection of cricket memorabilia.

The Fishermans Arms is an old style pub that serves home-made food, but likes to be a pub that serves beer as opposed to a restaurant that serves beer. Log fires are lit in the evenings (or very cold mornings) and the ceiling is festooned with artefacts from around the world. The view is over the busy fishing port of Newlyn, Mounts bay and St Michael's Mount.
