Egg hunts and cracking chocolatey tales abound at Eden this Easter – 28 March – 12 April
Families will have a cracking time playing egg-themed fairground games this Easter at the Eden Project. Awesome eggs and amazing tales abound in the Rainforest and Mediterranean biomes and the great outdoors.
The Eden Egg Hunt will have visitors searching high and low for coloured eggs and whichever team finds the most will be able to “egg-change” them for some delicious chocolate. The egg hunts will be located in the arena and outside of the stage and will happen approximately every half an hour from 10:30am onwards. Twenty golden eggs will be hidden in bird cages around Eden’s site and if visitors are lucky enough to find one they will get the chance to crack open a giant egg piñata.
In the stage area, visitors can try their hand at the Piñata Eggstravaganza that will commence each day at 3:30pm. When the piñata breaks, get ready to catch some sweet treats. In the stage area, visitors can try their hand at Egg-treme Egg and Spoon race while balancing on a gigantic inflatable obstacle course.
Among the fairground-themed games are, the Egg Rolling game, and pushing an egg down the hill and through the arches. Visitors can Hook an Egg or get crafty at the Easter Animals craft area.
Children will each receive a leaflet at the visitor centre, which they can have stamped after completing each activity. Once completed they can exchange the stamps for some chocolate at the ‘Eggschange’, located inside the stage.
Narrators will be telling the remarkable Tales from the Chocolate Box in the Mediterranean Biome. In the RainforestBiome narrators will take visitors through the World of Chocolate.
Kate Francis, Eden’s Programme Producer, said: “Easter at Eden is an egg-travaganza of incredible family fun with more activities than ever before. We will be creating the magic of the fairground with an Easter twist. Egg hunters will be in their element with the different trails in and outdoors. Families will be able to learn lots of gory facts about chocolate. And who wouldn’t want to crack open a giant egg piñata and catch the sweets that fall out!”
All activities are included in the normal admissions price.
