Join the Tamar Community Trust later this month for a very special archaeology and access volunteering day at south east Cornwall’s Wacker Quay.
Come and find out about the history of this fascinating military site on Saturday 16th August, and then take part in some management work with the Trust. As well as routine tasks on the Wacker to Antony Trail, you can join in with clearance work to find out more about two features related to the railway, and increase your knowledge of its history. Organised by the Helping Hands for Heritage* project, this day will also reveal more about the sensitivities of managing archaeology and the significance of the heritage at Wacker Quay.
Wacker Quay is signposted on the A374 between Torpoint and Trerulefoot about 2 miles west of Antony Village.
Booking is essential, so please let us know if you are interested in coming for all or part of the day.
