Dare you enter the Wacky Beach Race?

Wacky Beach RaceThe Push,Pull, Pedal Wacky Race will take place in St Agnes on Sunday 12thth April 2015

New to the OUTSID’ER 2015 festival, the Push, Pull, Pedal – Wacky Beach Race is an event that combines many of the elements of the raft race that we love; building something as a team, dressing up, racing and prizes, but without the unpredictability of the sea.

OUTSID’ER events are all about getting out, probably getting wet, and having fun in the great outdoors. And what better way to celebrate how lucky we are to enjoy such stunning natural surroundings, than getting togged up in fancy dress and getting competitive on the beach!!!

Event organisers are keen to get teams for the event, so read below to find out more, and click on the link to download an entry form.

EVENT PLAN:

13:00 Registration and racing vehicle assembly, Trevaunance Cove Car Park, St. Agnes TR5 0RU

14:30 Registration closes

15:00 Vehicle showcase in the car park

16:00 Race begins

Awards will be made in the following categories:

Race Winner – The first complete team to finish the whole race with their car!

Best Race Vehicle & Team– Snazziest looking machine. We want to see you looking as good as the cars that you are racing!

Best Horn – Let’s hear the most inventive ways of honking your competitors out of the way!!!

raft 2THE RULES ARE:

1) Your racing creation must have wheels.

2) There must be that at least two team members on the vehicle at all times, and a minimum 4 team members in total

3) The vehicle has to be kept firmly on the sand, with absolutely no carrying (or hidden engines!!).

At 4pm, teams will be required to line their racing vehicles at the starting line and follow a clearly marked course around the beach. See below terms & conditions for more info. The winners will be the first team to cross the finish line WITH their vehicle and all team members! Depending on the number of entries, we may run races in heats.
