Newquay’s Blue Reef Aquarium is inviting visitors to enjoy a Deeply Creepy experience during the October half-term holiday from Saturday, October 26 to November 3.
Embark on a Halloween-themed voyage of discovery featuring awesome encounters with a cast of fishy fiends including deadly stonefish, moray eels, wolf fish, piranhas and stinging jellyfish.
There’s a programme of terrifying talks, frightening feeding demonstrations, weird workshops and tortuous trails to enjoy every day.
Don’t miss the Trick or Treat Touchboxes, the Pumpkin Trails for younger visitors – with the chance to win a cuddly piranha – and the fearsome Fact Finding Missions for older children with the opportunity to win an annual pass to the aquarium.
Rockpool displays showcase the variety of local Cornish marine life and there’s also the open-top tropical freshwater caiman crocodile display as well as freshwater turtle and terrapins.
The centrepiece of the aquarium is the tropical ocean display where visitors can enjoy the closest of undersea encounters with tropical sharks and rays, hundreds of exotic reef fish and Omiros the giant sea turtle.
