Enjoy a Pony Trek Pub Ride with Hallagenna Riding

Explore Bodmin moor on horseback.

Hallagenna Riding, near in St Breward is a family business, run by Jenni Cootes, with a little help from her father Paul Millward. Both have experience working with international trainers. Nowadays, they enjoy taking riders of all abilities out to explore the dramatic countryside of Bodmin moor and the surrounding area. For more information, visit www.hallagenna.co.uk.

One of their more popular outings is the Blisland Pub Trail. This scenic trail takes you over the vast Manor Common where you will see tors on the moor . You’ll also visit a Bronze Age standing stone circle before arriving at the village of Blisland, where the horses are hitched up on the village green outside the pub so you can enjoy a lunch stop. After enjoying some welcome refreshment, you then visit The Jubilee Rock and some of the most interesting corners of the Moor before heading home to Hallagenna. (approx 3 - 5 hours riding). Please note: this trail is suitable for all levels of rider but may vary in its route depending on rider’s experience.
