The excitement surrounding the BBC’s new production of Poldark will reach fever pitch when Truro Cathedral hosts a murder mystery evening on Friday 10th July at 7.30pm.
Murder in the Cathedral? T’aint right, t’aint fair, t’aint fit, t’aint proper!
Super sleuths and budding detectives are wanted to help solve the crime of the century – the 18th Century, that is. A collaborative relaxed murder mystery evening, themed around the characters from Winston Graham’s acclaimed Poldark books, will take place in the Cathedral.
An evening full of twists, turns and surprises is promised as a story of betrayal, treachery and deceit unfolds. Tensions will mount and suspicions will run high … was it Jud and Prudie? What about George or Captain Blamey? Surely it could never be Ross and Demelza…?
The Poldark characters will be allocated in advance so that everyone has a chance to get in character, perfect their accents and sort out their costumes!
Lindy Skitch, Events Manager said, “Our Murder mystery evening will be great fun! A chance to become a favourite Poldark character for the night and have a bit of fun with us trying to work out who murdered who!”
The Ticket includes a pasty supper a variety of musical entertainment including an appearance by the Cathedral Choristers. A fully licensed bar will also be available.
Tickets are £18.50 per person and must be booked in advance. Contact the Cathedral Office via [email protected] or 01872 276782. Tables of 6 are encouraged, although not essential.
