The top of Redruth’s Fore Street is a hub of vintage boutiques known to locals as the Bohemian Quarter, where you’ll find everything from retro clothing, glamorous Art Deco furnishings and antiquarian books. Here’s a round-up of what the town has to offer vintage-lovers and anyone with a few hours spare to step back in time.

Daisy Rain Vintage: Tucked away in the town’s old steam bakery, this is where you’ll find an amazing retro garment or ten and lots of quirky furniture spanning the 20th century. Its parasol-covered ceiling is alone worth a visit.

Curio City: Retro radios, lamps and memorabilia are piled up from floor to ceiling in the front part of this shop, whilst at the back you’ll find yet even more curiosities - then there’s upstairs too…

La Belle: This stunning Art Deco emporium will transport you straight back to the roaring Twenties. Clocks, dressing table necessities, arm chairs, you name it, it’s here.

The Emporium: It might not look like it from the outside, but at the back of this shop there’s a vintage hideaway waiting to be discovered. Get lost in the multi-coloured books and records or feast your eyes on a sea of porcelain.
