At Amélies, Porthleven you’ll find an informal atmosphere and dishes from sumptuous seafood to Sunday roasts and light bites.
The restaurant also runs a series of popular Summer evening music Sessions featuring a variety of styles from jazz and swing to rat pack and burlesque.
Perched right on the harbourside in picturesque Porthleven, Amélies was also recently featured in the BBC show Alex Polizzi: Chefs on Trial. The show charted their hunt for a new head chef and saw current kitchen maestro Paul James appointed to the role.
As well as running the Amélies kitchen, Paul will devise and cook menus for weddings held at the venue, which is fully licensed for civil ceremonies. He’ll also work alongside owner Sam Sheffield-Dunstan to create menus for the restaurant’s sister Gourmet Picnics business. ameliesporthleven.co.uk
This month Amelies are offering the chance to win a three-course Sunday roast for two cooked by the new Amélies head chef and a bottle of wine. And there’ll be the chance to meet and have a chat to Paul after you dine.
